The William Humphreys Art Gallery (WHAG) invites applications for a 9-month internship (October 2026 – June 2027). We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented Graphic Design or Visual Art graduate to join our project team and gain hands‑on experience in the museum industry. This internship is designed to provide skills transfer and practical work experience, preparing young professionals for the job market.

Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Graphic Design or Visual Art (NQF Level 6 or higher)
- Strong communication skills; proficiency in English, Afrikaans, and/or Tswana will be an advantage
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe design software, and Canva
- Creative skillset with the ability to think inventively and innovatively
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure when required
Recruitment Details
- Monthly stipend: R10 000
- Preference will be given to suitably qualified applicants from previously disadvantaged groups, in line with the Employment Equity Act and WHAG’s transformation targets.
- Short-listed candidates will undergo a comprehensive selection process.
- WHAG reserves the right not to fill the advertised position.
