The William Humphreys Art Gallery is a schedule 3 public entity in terms of the PFMA and an agency of the National Department of Sport, Arts and Culture in terms of the Cultural Institutions Act. The Minister of DSAC is the Executive Authority, who appoints an independent Council as the Accounting Authority responsible for performance and oversight of the entity. The Council gives strategic direction to the Gallery’s Management and Staff, who are responsible for day-to-day operations.
