The William Humphreys Art Gallery invites applications for an Intern who has a Graphic Design Qualification (7-month contract: Sept 2025 – March 2026)

The WHAG, in partnership with MTN Foundation, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented graduate intern with a degree or diploma in Graphic Design (NQF Level 6 or higher) to join the WHAG team. The intern will participate in various aspects of the WHAG’s daily operations. This internship is open to recent graduates looking for experience in the museum sector. Key areas of development may include graphic design, administration, research, project support, and art education. This role aims to transfer skills and offer work experience to prepare the candidate for the job market. The position is based in Kimberley, Northern Cape. The applicant must be available to start on September 1, 2025.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Graphic Design (NQF Level 6 or higher).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate in English, Afrikaans, and/ or Tswana would be an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Adobe design software.
• A very creative skillset and to think outside the box.
• Ability to take initiative and problem-solve.
• Be deadline-driven and able to work under pressure when needed.

• Monthly Stipend – R9 000 per month
