The William Humphreys Art Gallery (WHAG) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented intern to join our project team. This internship offers recent graduates an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the museum industry. The intern will be involved in various aspects of WHAG’s daily operations, including graphic design, administration, research, project support, and art education. The purpose of this position is to provide skill transfer and work experience, preparing the candidate for the job market. This position is based in Kimberley, Northern Cape.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate in English. Afrikaans and/or Setswana would be an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, CorelDRAW, and Adobe Design software.
  • A very creative skillset and ability to think outside the box.
  • Ability to take initiative and problem-solve.
  • Be deadline-driven, and able to work under pressure when necessary.

Recruitment Details:

  • Gross Monthly Stipend – R12 000 per month
  • Short-listed candidates will be subjected to a comprehensive selection process.
  • The WHAG reserves the right not to fill an advertised position.
